Default Direct wiring a 4AGE 100kw power plug (N) on the ECU

OK so i've been less than successful in finding a power plug for my 4AGE 100kw ECU
i need to get the car on the road and don't have a plug i can hack to make it fit

my thoughts are going to using pins from a toyota plug and heat shrinking around the pin and the wire (twice) to insulate it - until i can find the darn plug

i only need to do 4 connections into the N plug to make it work ; any thoughts on this?

I'd say it should work as a temporary fix, but I'd be keen to do it properly ASAP. It'd make diagnosis and fixing down the line a bit of a nightmare.

How many pins is the plug you need?

if you are looking for the 12-pin plug... they are common as anything!
Go to a self serve wrecker, and look at every 90s toyota you can find. More than likely you will find a 12-pin connector somewhere.

I think i even have a few spare, and probably also the other ecu connectors.

    hen.
agree its a temp solution and a poor one at that - 4 pins i need, B1, +B +BAtt and something else that escapes me..
    karl
i spent last weekend thru pickapart in kilsyth only to find that the 3SGE powered ST185 has the same plug and the wide body camry (to which they had none) also apparently has the same (i can't find any down my way in shitsville). I also search magnas, falcons (man they are wierd ECU connectors) the only ones I kept finding were the yellow early type in the AE82 twinkys i could have come home with a million of them. karl if you could have a look i'd be most appreciative, hell i'd get on a friggin plane these days and fly there to get one just to do the job right

I had a similar problem with a 20v ECU, I got the engine, ecu harness, etc, but was missing the one plug. Yeah i heard that one of the camry's had the same connector but i dont really have a picknpull near me (3hours drive) so i was not about to be on my way..... actually still have not made it there in over a years...... anyways what i did for the connectors I HAD to have was got some REALLY small butt connectors like these --> http://www.thesourcecc.com/estore/Pr...roduct=6403036
crimped the wire ends i needed, used some electrical tape to insulate them and viola i had something that worked. i just made sure i secured those wires to the ecu about 6" after the connection with some more electrical tape. Not a permanent solution but it will get you moving....... if my ramblings are less than clear let me know and i can snap some pictures of what i did.

ahh.. you want the 12-pin plug.

Common as piss - even used on ABS modules and other electronic modules.
    I probably have about 4.

I'll dig one up.... just PM me if i dont reply by sunday.
