i must say your celica is old school hotness, it looks so clean.

i was driving the supra at the time and i was wondering when you were going to start pulling up, i looked back once i was on the straight and thought you went into the pits, sorry bout that.

did anyone get footage of the IS looping it off the end of the track? i want to use it as my desktop for when mos comes around

next time i think some lap timers should used. if anyone wants to do a group buy ill be in for a couple.

i think we might stay at the pelican next time as the drive home was sketchy to say the least.

    cheers

Don't have footage of the IS, but the GoPro camera on the front of my car caught a nice moment from Draven's Loopra

Lap timers are a great idea. I recall YLD mentioning previous track days where lap timers were used, and they then don't allow passengers or something?

    Does anyone have any photos?
I've only got photos of Greg's pee-pee dirt...
Wish I got some footage of the loopage, but I guess I was a bit more worried about the car rolling than grabbing the camera out of the glovebox Shame really
(BTW, just finished cleaning all the dirt out of the inside of the car )

Hmm lets not talk about the drive home.

Day was great I've gotta say that slicks make so much difference it actually makes the drive enjoyable. Sort of like a go kart just steering it through the corners This minor little detail has rekindled my pure enjoyment of driving....

The highlight of my day was a conversation in the car with Paul:
Paul: What gear are you in?
    Mos: 4th.
    Paul: You bastard!!
    Mos: Not full throttle......
    Paul: You F*****G BASTARD!!!!!!!!!

Here's some photos I took yesterday

unfortunately I didn't get everyone because it was a PITA to take pics with the pit wall closed off from spectators now.

    but here's a taste...

Yeah, really is a shame you can't stand at the wall anymore, do you think its for personal safety, or because things that shouldn't have (ie: hats in the wind) ended up on the track?

[edit] nice pics by the way

yeah you were never on track when I was taking pics unfortunately

I only took the camera out 3 times through the day
It became a pain to have to walk to either end of the straight to get good shots.

I should have taken the camera out the far side when I went for the drive with Stitty

I had an absolute blast, despite being totally sleep deprived. t he drive back was shithousen, to the point that I had to pull over and have a nap half way back because it was a real possibility I was just going to microsleep and crash.

That aside, a great day. My car is definitely better than I am. Best time on 18psi was a 1:18.0, then I turned the boost down to 10psi at linden's instruction, and by the end of the day had managed a 1:14.0 (linden did the 1.13.0 on 10psi). now I just need lots more practice so I can actually use all the power my car has... 18psi was just too scary entering corners.

I completely cooked my brakes first time out, due to excessive braking on corners that should have been zero braking, and as a reasult overheated them and had a big off into the kitty (which resulted in front bar coming off to empty out the rocks, after I covered the entire track in rocks)

oh yeah, it's scary personally, I stab the brakes just before the kink, take kink, then HARD on the brakes for the corner.

and as you can see from the vid, not always successful
