7M-GTE MX73 im looking at your sig and wonder WTF is a RA35 GT? do you mean RA25 GT? aka 77 mustang celica GT spec?

    Matty
    Heya Matty,

As mentioned mate, the RA35 liftback (as in my pic) essentially looks like a RA28, taillights and all. Being a Jap Spec GT it also got the ugly ass american safety bumpers and obviously the GT grill. But other than that it looks exactly the same as the RA28. (Note: my car does not have the front safety bumper installed and has a body kit).
Unfortunately, it will be a little while before its running (Too many projects and too little time!).

    hehe

Well...i bought it with a BHG. So originally was just gonna fix it and drive it.
The engine was fubared so it turned into getting an 18RGEU and plonking that in and drive it.
And it kinda snowballed from there...
So the plan is the following (some of which I've already done).
    New brakes front.
New springs and shocks all round
New engine loom (running new wires with new terminals)
Add Commodore (dont tell anyone! heh) relay box into engine bay.
Rewire parts of engine bay (due to dodgy wiring and crapload of extra wires which do nothing).
Fit fuel pumps and surge tank
    New head unit.
    Fan shroud with thermo fan.
    Upgrade alternator.

+ Other little things, it seems everywhere i look on the car something needs fixing !

    I know an RA60 with a 1JZ that would enjoy a run or 20

Just hope the T series rear end and W55 hold-up

The software required Win95 or better, so I installed Linux.

Yeah too many unfortunately and with me changing my mind everyday projects seem to take agesss to get anywhere!

with the 7M, nah mate not yet, its not going into the cressi as i bought a MA61 to whack it in. Just collecting parts for the MA61 at the moment and will get stuck into it after I get the celica going! So even longer till the ma61 gets moving!

I actually bought the celica after getting the MA61, but since the celica was going to be a "quick" job i figured i would sideline the MA61 and get the celica running again! I should know by now there is no such thing as a quick job when cars are involved!

My car lives down at my Dad's in Bertram (not me though), and yes it was at the last dyno day.

I'll be in Tassie from the 14th February until the 4th of March, so I 'll have to pass if the drag day clashes. Wedding, then practice drift day, then Drift Australia at Symmonds Plains

Does anyone have a T series centre they'd like to sell? It's needed for the slide day at Barb's coming up shortly

If I could shave a second off my best time so far of 14.8 and get in the range of a high 13 - I'd be stoked. But loosing that extra second is taking some effort.

Hopefully with my suspension mods, Rcomp tyres and some better driver launches I could do it. You'd think I'd be able to extract that second from somewhere - most probably at launch time.

maybe the problem is located between seat and steering wheel?

i'll be there with rudi for sure.

Yes, good possibility of that. That is why I also included the "better driver launch" bit.

Maybe I'm too gentle because I don't like breaking things as well.
