the w1062 is the same i got for my 4AFC p00 motor.
and yeah i'm with sam, the bearings won't last as its not designed to have the normal fan hanging off it......maybe its dual purpose is the waterpump>?

I think a thermofan is the way to go so you can hit two brids with one stone, but thats just my personal opinion

Hmmm, that's quote interesting..but yeah, the powermax book listed the W1062 as the RWD waterpump for the 4age. So I'm sure the bearing is strong enuf to use the factory clutch fan.

It's been mounted on Beserker's engine for more than 2 years and hasn't shaddered with many reving dances. I know people of put fwd pump on and used the clutch fan to break it months later. It is also the RWD one because the pulley lines up properly and the kneck is longer on the poomp

I've got a NPW (Nissan Pump Mfg Co Ltd) new in box sitting here, again only the front half, for rear wheel drive 4AGE's.

The listing on the side says it is for AE86's, AA63 Carina's and AT141 Corona's.

Part numbers also listed next to a large T-55 (the NPW number?) are
    16110-16010 (this is for an AE86) &
    16100-19095

just jogging my memory, its been a while since i put my 4a in. a rwd water pump will get rid of the remote thermostat housing, but doesn't it get in the way of the alternator or something then? id love to get rid of the remote housing, i hate the freekin thing.

    yes
if you use the std 100kw FWD alternator mounting the alternator is in the way
the other issue is the top coolant outlet needs to be specific also for the RWD setup ; the FWD one does not have the piece that goes between the top outlet and the back of the pump
you could mount the alternator on the passenger side, but, that will require custom brackets (i think there was a low mount GZE alternator bracket)

maybe a 4AC alternator bracket would work on the passenger side?

i know my 4AFC mounts the alternator up too high (it would foul on the dizzy)

clubmans use a holden v8/holden 6 bracket modifed for the lower and a custom top bracket (and smaller daihatsu alternator) however we're digressing here from water pumps

the alternator bracket has just gone obsolete with Toyota. my last orders just got squashed in japan. I have the proper rear drive pumps and water outlets at work. www.roadandtrack.net.au

Factory RWD mounts the alternator low under the intake manifold.
GZE mounts all accessories on the exhaust side.

sounds like an alternative is required.
just trying to shy away from the remote thermostat idea from the FWD 4A setup, but, if i have to, i have to...
