It's a gauge - and I had no idea the ST162 sender would work!! I bet it's cheaper than the 60 bones I paid for the Tarago unit

no there not the same. different brackets and plugs. i allso have to change the alternator on my 3tgte as well as it keeps on dieing. i had mine rebuilt and only lasted 3 weeks so im allso interested on how it all goes. i had the rectifier and regulator replaced and still died the second time but this time it was suppose to be copper colour but when we dismantled it was all blue inside so it must have got hot some how.

    Hi guys,

I'm looking to replace the slave cylinder in the TA22. I'm running a 3tgte with a W58 behind it, and I also have the T-series bellhousing (so the slave cylinder is on the drivers-side).

Any idea where I can get one from? Toyota usually do not stock parts which were never sold in Australia, so is there any interchangeability between Aus delivered setup?

    Thanks,
    Al

    Arrrgh,

Looking to get started on the celica today and thought I would check how the actuator mounted to the turbo...WAY TO HIGH! FFS I bought the turbo and manifold to just bolt up, now it looks like the bracket will have to be made to hold the actuator, and I still think we will have bonnet clearance issues which means the manifold itself may have to be redone! FFS!

Anyone got any pics of hi mount turbo set ups on 3tg's?

Hey Ricey can your turbo housings be 'clocked' to suit the direction you need the outlet to sit?
When you clock the housing you'll most likely need to modify the actuator mount anyhow... So you may as well take the opportunity to have it sit where you need it!

Yeah both the rear of the housing and front can be moved. Actuator will have to be moved but it seriously may just be easier making the exhaust manifold 40mm shorter. Going to look freeking ugly with the actuator right at the top of the turbo tho. Fuck me...

Here is something really weird and unique, and i am 200% sure you guys never seen before,

This is a 3TGTE head in a 4Y block with a billet crank and a custom timing belt upper section for the cams, it is custom turbo setup and crank triggered with retaining the factory dizzy for signal and spark fire.

It has been as fast as 7.70 in the 1/4 mile on a tube chassis Tercel!
