    Cuts,

The t18 passanger bracket is the same as the 3tgte braket as it is extended. The difference between the two is a couple of nuts for the turbo to bolt onto for support. The rubber however could be slightly different. I use the t18 ones which work fine, the middle bolt could be cut down a little to provide more clearence to the drain pipe.

Based on the pictures on toycrazy.net the rubber does look slightly different in its construction.

I would not trust urethane on this type of mount as too much reliance is on vulcanisation to the metal parts, in a tubular style mount I would however.

As I get older and busier I find the Grey matter failing me more often. The shit I used to be able to quote with guaranteed accuracy I find myself checking more than half the time because I simply just don't play with the old T series all that often anymore.

So while I still remember where to find it here is a little something from some flow bench testing I did somewhere around a decade ago. It should stir the discussion pool.

Now before you all going looking to change your head, keep in mind port flow is only a small part of whats important in a head design and the the 3T-GTE head was the last development of the street issue T series for Toyota. It also has 2 spark plugs for a reason

Hey Cuts, yeah it already has the liquid urethane stuff in it, however it wont pass inspection here like that. Will try Mackay Rubber.

BRD just gave me this suggestion:

"If running over 12 lbs of boost you will need ARP head studs and ARP main studs and I would run billet main caps. But it really depends on the boost. thanks "

I already have the ARP head studs fitted. However are the main studs and billet main caps required?
    I'm wondering if he's suggesting this for a 3T-C?

I think you will be fine with what you got. I have never heard of anyone braking the main caps on a 3tc. If you want to spend the money get the studs but the main caps will require the expense of the main caps plus the machining to put them in. Just my opinion.

    Radar,

Just use the factory Fuel pressure reg and they will be fine. Changing your fuel pressure to anything else is unwise as it can have huge effects on the tune, life of your pump and performance of the injectors.

    RKE_011

If your after cheap spark plugs then BCPR7ES will do the job unless your running big boost. If your running more than a bar of boost and are having issues with spark then the Bosch IK22 or the NGK Iriway 7 iridium plugs are a good option. Thundercords in NSW should be able to make you up a set of leads.

    Steeko,

How bad are yours ? Its not uncommon to reuse them as they don't wear out all that fast.

toyman, they're not too bad, but whilst the thing is apart, we're trying to do it right the first time.

3J celica, how much modding did you do to your T18 mounts for it to fit? How did you get the nuts on it for the turbo to bolt to for support?

btw - called Mackay Rubber and they just said to order it through Supercheap.

Toyman - I don't have the factory fuel pressure reg, unless they are those little vacuum dodads on the fuel rail . I'm using a VL inline fuel pump so I figured I'd need a adj fuel reg? So now I just need to know what to set it at?

    steeko,

I was using a ct26 so the turbo did not bolt up to the mount. My maniold is now craked which they do but without turbo support probable didn't help.

You drill the holes and weld some nuts on. But you don't need the t18 engine bracket do you? the t18 rubber mount from supercheap should be able to be used without modification on the original 3tgte engine braket.

    Radar,

The vacum thing at the end is the fuel reg, yes they are small and look a little different

Im just running standard boost.. its just my daily..
i believe the leads are still origional so i figure it wont hurt replacing them..

car has around 140xxx kms so im guessing the leads are that old.

    cheers for that!
