Default Brand new timing belt tensioner installed - looks unusual (pics)

The black one is my old tensioner and the silver is the new. See how the circular part at the front sticks out further than that of the black one, is this something I should be concerned about? First time i've change a tensioner so not sure if this is correct.

    Cheers

as long as the belt has good tension and you can see it when you pull the pin out and it all bolts up with the covers its doen its job.

As long as it's not interfering with the belt in any way it should be all good

But more importantly why are your hands so clean!?
