Norbie's right - mine is a 4.3:1 and would love to get my hands on a 3.5 or 3.7:1.
Usually take off in 2nd gear because 1st is too low.

It's not hard to get a 3.58:1 ratio for an F series, that's what I'm using now.

RA65 Celica with manual transmission. I believe the RT142 Corona with manual and IRS will also have the tall ratio but they're a lot harder to find.

quick question.. how would the f-series c&p compare in strength with the a-series? I know they're the same size, but I just can't see an f-series diff standing up to the sort of power your typical modified JZA80 cranks out.

I dont think JZA80 and IS200 A series are the same size Greg. Different codes for TRD parts for one thing

PS, I just ordered the TRD F series 1.5 way for my IS200 Gotta love that Aussie dollar at the moment

well then, that's a homo way to code diffs
Was under my car today, and the diff did look undersized... but that could just be compared to the big fuckoff getrag gbox

When Toyota went to the A/B series they seemed to have lost the plot.
The Supra A series is much larger than the Lexus A series. Very strange system.

Have a couple of B series Soarer torsens and they are still larger than the Lexus A series.

Went to Toyota today and they don't sell the 3.58:1 CW&P for the Celica or Corona anymore. Will have to shop around for a 2nd hand unit to try.
