There is really not enough room with the existing fuel tank. not to fit anything decent in there.

Excuse the dirty car weathers been crap round here.

Brilliant! Thanks for that. Looks like the only solution will be to join the twin exhausts right at the very end and bring them over to one side. Cheers for that!

Actually that said, 2.5" isn't very big, perhaps something like this would be possible:

I suppose I have to find out what the legalities are of how close an exhaust can be to a fuel tank.

I don't know how viable that option would be either.

bee's dick of clearance in there... certainly not enough for an exhaust I'd feel safe with.

Guess it's back to plan B then. Run twin exhausts down the length of the car and join them at the very end.

bah...trust me, best left alone. youre going to bring the pipes together at some point in the system (aroun the gearbox outlet) and from there its a no brainer to the back of the car. fuel tank get a LONG way in the way. soarer doesnt even have a fuel tank in that position

    twin tps - unnecessary bling

According to a rather nice book I've got here on Supras(covering from the MA's through to the JZA's) the reason there is only a single exhaust was to save weight as the car was quite heavy already. Same reason the cars have "hollow thread" carpet and other random weight savings to try to make up for the overall weight of the car.

    ISBN-10: 1855206366
    ISBN-13: 978-1855206366

It has lots of specs and useful info in it Frank, plus loads of reviews from car mags etc.

Oh yeah, I know they did a heap to save weight, has to be a reason they're better than an MA70 but lighter!

They could've left *room* for a damn second exhaust though.

Hmm, maybe I should have another look if it's definetly there.

How much room is there for two actual mufflers on one side? Curiosities sake of course.
