    yeah thats how i looked into doing it, i bought a "trunk release" from jaycar for like $30. was a pain in the arse mounting it under the bonnet lid so it ended up under the back of the tail of my old motor bike

    Gidday

    I used a central locking solenode out of my jaycar kit. It will fit inside the panel next to the latch in the boot and is connected to the boot latch with a short piece of stiff wire - came with the kit. The fitting is exactly the same as you use for the door locks - just follow the instructions in the kit. I ran the wiring up the hinge and then behind the panel. Everything is concealed. I have connected it into the remote central locking system so it can open with the actuator on my key ring.

    Has been there for about 10 years and works a treat.

    No worries, i just like to visualise things before i have a go thats all, the other pics from pauljones1976 should be good enough. just hope it stops raining by the weekend.
