which sump did you get? fwd or rwd? note that the st205 being EW might not work the best for you.

st205 and beams are essentially the same. the beams fwd versions have an area cut out for the CAS. if you need a pic let me know.

The the RWD Beams sump. According to your first link the RWD ones have alot more baffling.

So in saying that a ST205 is the same apart from the FWD and RWD difference i should be able to use a ST205 oil pump and front housing? Also in saying that everything else to block of the oil filter on the block would be the same as ST205?

The Last link is the motor it is off. And looks just like that.

that's my spare sump, its missing the windage tray.

st205 oil pump should be fine. front housing still has me puzzled though as i'm not sure what you mean by that. between the two sumps you can't interchange anything. the oil pans are different shapes, and the oil sump plate is a one piece alloy affair.

are you able to just test fit that sump up to your gen2 3s-ge? i'm not sure if anyone else has done it before so i can't say for sure.

for the oil cooler just get an oil cooler sandwich plate and that way you can run to an oil cooler and still have the oil filter in the same area.

Front housing as in the bit that bolts on the front of the motor and has the front main seal in it also bolts to the same?

I haven't taken much notice if they are apart of the oil pump?

On the test fitting side of this i will see of i can get an engine stand this weekend and have ago

nope you will need the altezza front plate as they bolt up differently according to yours and da horse's pics.

Cheers for your replies. Only way i guess i will know for sure is if i trail if fit. Ill ask my boss if i can borrow the ST205 oil pump/front housing off the motor i stripped down a few weeks ago

no point, have a better look at the pics of both sumps, they are completely different so you will need the gen5 (maybe gen4) to suit.

the first vvti motor in an MRs or a caldina may do the job but for all the hunting your going to have to do wouldnt it make more sense to buy the correct part.

And whats the correct part? RWD format no need to make things custom (I can do it but dont have the freedom of time to do it eg no room at home to work on my car).

the gen5 front housing then just bolt all your pump and bits on to it.
if you can look at an epc it will show you all the differences and what substitutes you can use.

ive got an epc but im sure there would be a thread in here with a link to where to get one, if not send me a pm monday and ill have a look cause im still working atm.

ask the person who sold it to you if they have a spare cover/housing or swap them a gen2 one.
