    Default DIY manual boost controller

After seeing the tubotech items on Ebay and some people trying to flogg off their own DIY items on other forums I thought I would see if I can find some instructions on how to build them. It's really quite easy. I did have a bit of a search and didn't see any other posts mentining it so here goes. I will eventually build one when I get some spare time but if anyone has a crack before me the only thing that isn't really explained is the spring rate used so maybe post up what springs you have had success with.

I'm guessing you'll probably spend a few hours plus $20 in fittings to make your own... or you could do what i did and just buy a Turbotech one off ebay for $30 and pay for it by going to work for a few hours.

Autospeed have a few DIY articles on their website on how to make your own BCs. I know i drew up some designs for a BC based on those articles on Autospeed, never made it though.

If you want to make your own, get a norgren valve...you will need two.
    One pressure relief valve
    One pressure regulator valve

I'll try and find what I did with the writeup.
Hits boost like an animal, and regulates it very effectively.

you're probably right. In my case I have most if not all of the bits laying around already so it will cost bugger all to make. and it's fun

    Cheers

Norgren valves are available from "HIS Hose" and prob other places.

I also tried the Turbotech unit but found the Norgren valve setup to be more effective.

Better links on the boost controller are here, with a better valve design you may want to purchase instead:

And the original article (in case you don't like PDF, or want to click on pics)
