Finally got the in tank set up working for the 18RGUE, checked the intake pump i was trying to run which was rated for flow rate of 1.6 lpm and it was only pumping just over 1.2 lpm. Fitted a different pump with a flow rate of 2.8 lpm. Seems to rum fine now... Still haven't found what flow rate Toyota recommends. Shouldn't have any more problems with undersupply now, just hoping the old injectors can handle it.

Hey Swan, the pressure in the rail shouldn't be any more than stock, even with the hi-flow pump, as it's the regulator that determines this.

Glad to hear it's up and running!

I could not locate any new extractors that did, and the s/h ones River kindly sold me didn't fit either.

I could have saved you a lot of hassles had you called have photos and how you mod the TRD ones to fit.

I still have those BWAs doing nothing..

Yeah, the guys at QLD rollers and liners came good on this one... however the guides were still the rock hard ebonite stuff, but i haven't heard any complaints from people using them...

Got the contact details handy?? And the pricing structure??

Nobody found rings for the 18R-GUE yet?? will talk to a machinist see if they can get rings or not, and if they can open out the ringlands should rings be impossible.

Rings should be easy. quote bore size and ring thickness,
Rings are usually very standardised sizes.

Dont machine out the ring lands.......lol

How do the bosch 044 fuel pumps rate? Any good to use for an 18RGEU turbo? Opinions of them?

I'm hoping to bring my beast to life this weekend as i've now got everything sorted. Just need to sort the ecu out once the car has the engine firmly in place. I'll be looking to upgrade the fuel pump and ECU eventually.

Anyone know where in melbourne to get some cheapish exhaust manifolds made up? I can't remember the turbo exhaust place i rang last time as i got quoted $400 for custom exhaust manifold which is a decent price.

044 is plenty big enough for an 18R-GTE. BUT... how are you feeding it?? They need to be baby fed as they cannot suck out of a tank. So either you need a suction/lift pump to feed it, or it has to be at the bottom of your tank with a feed tapped into the base of the tank.

Look for Medwin on this forum, he may be able to make you a manifold at a decent price.
