Rebuilding a 2TG

I'm currently in the process of getting my 2TG rebuilt too.

So far I've had the 88260 head rebuilt with the cams from the 88222 installed and have picked up an ACL gasket kit.

I need to get the bottom end built and find some new chain guides.

River - I'll take a backup copy of that CD as well

Theres allot of info on the site about what you need to do but for the budget conscious you could just have your 3T pistons flycut to clear the 2TG valves

Good luck with it and I wouldn't be concerned about having the small valve head unless you were planning on chasing some big numbers.

Yeah the car came with a 3T engine that is supposely rebuilt bout 3000kms ago. I only got the 2TG cause i wanted a better engine (twin cam). Im not after big power,. I got the early ta22 with the under fuel tank. Also when i got this car it came with a sidedraft webber already fitted and running pretty good.

I do not have the twin carbies for the 2TG, only the manifold for them

Sold the car the other month, so no more rebuild.
Its up to the new owner what he wants to do now
