Gday
i need to find out the part number or make and vin number of a car with a r154 gearbox so i can get a price from toyota.,
its for a 1jz powered 92 Cressida
any help is appreciated

Locally delivered MA71 Supra's with 7MGTE had R154's.

You don't need a vin number for locally delivered cars.

And what are you getting a price for?

trying to get a price on a R154 gearbox
just seeing how much more expensive they are than secondhand ones

I'd assume somewhere around 5-10 times more expensive.

in drift battle they said they arnt as expensive as you would think, (shop in japan does manual conversions with a new R154 box for under $3k to aristos)
so i thought i would just get a price on a new one from toyota

I'd be very very surprised if a new R154 is less than $3k from Toyota.

Sorry to hijack thread a little, what shop in japan does r154 conversion kits for aristos? Might be worth emailing them and asking for information about the swap.
