Default 7mge airflow meter same as 5mge?

Hey can someone tell me does the 7mge have the same airflow meter as the late 5mge and why do people use the 1uz meter on the 7m?

Can't answer your first question, but the 1uz afm is used on the 7m-gte in conjunction with 550cc injectors. The increase in flow capacity of both is approximately the same and you are essentially fooling the ecu into thinking you have the standard afm and injectors in there when you don't. It has the added bonus of raising fuel cut due to overboosting.

1UZ AFM can not be used on a 7M-GE.

I *THINK* 7m-ge and 5m-ge are both flap type, doesn't mean they will be bolt on though.

I thought supra = y pipe, cressida = single pipe

    Same

While attracting the p00 specialists, and no mean to hijack, does anyone know if the older style 5M-GE dizzy can be use on the 7M-GE? That is, a stand alone system, dizzy coil igniter, not ECU wiring needed?

As Stitty said, the REALLY late model ones have Y-pipe (aswell as all the Supra ones).
They came in Crowns, and had Karmaan Vortex AFM's.

    5-ME and 7M-GE are different.
I through out a 5me one today, whist taking apart my 7m
Not sure if 5me and 5mge are the same.
