20valve head clearance

hi all i have been searching the site but cant really find a definate answer, i was just trying to find out if the you can run the 8.9 comp pistons from 4agze with 20valve head with no worries? Or would it make more sense to fork out the cash for a set of 20valve forgies? Any definate answers would be massive help thanks guys.

yes you can no worries at all

becomes interference engine
which means it will bend valves if you break a cam belt

Yes been there done that, still run mine that way.

Been there done that too, bent 12 out of the 20.

Interesting to note that not onlt do the inlet valves not line up with the cut-outs in the piston,
( obviously as it's missing a cut-out)

But the Exhaust valves do not line up with the cut-outs for the 16V ones either.

But as long as you have a new cambelt,
and the keyway in the crankshaft doesn't break ( like mine did )

it will be great.
