"Y" flywheels and "G" flywheels are NOT interchangeable. Different bolt hole spacing, and different cente hole size.
cheers Chuck.

Not really parts, but as I discovered when my mate needed to borrow my wheels - AE92 and AW11 MR2's not only have the same stud pattern, they also seem to have the same offset (wheel wise anyway)
My little contribution![]()
Male/female plugs on a 4A-GE ECU computer and a LS400/Celsior airbag suspension computer are IDENTICAL
Broke a speedo cable on the GF's AE86 Sprinter.
The cable broke in the last section before the gearbox where the cable does a 90 degree bend inside a solid pipe section of the speedo cable housing.
Went to Pick-a-Part yesterday and found one that suits no probs and is actually a better design, in the bend, from an ST141 Corona.

JZA70 master cylinder will bolt to a MX73 Cressida and the lines fit with a bit of bending.
is the speedo reading the same ?? i thought the cables were different.. coz the box and cluster is different too... hmm... care to confirm? thanksOriginally Posted by Rallystanza

AE92 4agze 224mm clutches are the same as AE95 4afe's
though the flywheels dont interchange> 8 bolt vs. 6 bolt.
speedo accuracy has nothing to do with the cable mate. It has to do with a small cog which the cable screws onto. So the cable can be replaced without replacing the cog. Also, those cogs are interchangeable between most toyota boxes, so they can be exchanged to keep speedos happy anyway. For example, I swapped boxes in a mate's RA60 from an A40D auto, to a W50 manual, and used the cog from his A40D in the W50 to keep the speedo happy.Originally Posted by Vios-GT_07

Is this true? Has anyone put VK-VS calipers and Pintara 250mm vented discs on a TA22 strut?Originally Posted by Dom-AE71
Could be worth trying if so.

It is possible however youll need to get an adaptor made up for the caliper as it is not a bolt up jobby.Originally Posted by GeneSPIDA

Just an FYI - at least for the USDM vehicles.Originally Posted by Stomp86
After the model break 10/85 both the sr-5 and gt-s USDM corolla/trueno used the same brake proportioning valve. If you can get me p#'s for the Aussie version (or versions if they have the same p# split) I can check and see if they are identical - or not.

That would have a similar effect as the hilux/pug/rona setup, as the car is lighter, but the callipers arent as good. Still worth the effort if youve ever seen the capability or lack thereof of the TA22 stock brakes.Originally Posted by JustCallMeFrank
