FWIW My injectors have always been overly loud too. When i had the 550cc in the were quite loud now with the bigger injectors its even worse.
This is a guage of just how loud the new ones are. When i put them in i had to play around a bit with the fuel trim to get it started. the new injectors were so much bigger that the eng was getting flooded easily on crank and it took a few goes to trim up the map so that the thing would actually start.
Anyhow. when i first cranked it over i could here what sounded like a cracking noise sort of like when i lead is off and the spark is arcing out. so i stopped cranking and checked the eng to see if a lead was off. I checked everything and could nt find any thing amiss.
I then went back in the car started cranking and there was that noise again !!! I was like WTF is that. ........... It turned out that it is the F$$KN injectors opening and closing ,They are that loud that it sounds like a lead is off !!
I am now thinking ...seeing im not the only one with this noise that it must be the way that The EMS ecu is configured to drive its injectors.
I wouldnt be too concerned about it as i have always had it and have never had any probs with anything. IE injector life / injectors over heating /ecu faults etc etc.
thats why i said if ya get good enough!Originally Posted by Disturbed1
the ecu is possibly pulling them open harder with more amperage making the sound louder
Sounds logical. With the resistor pack the injectors would be taking longer to open, which equals slower, which in turn equals quieter.
