Are you running standard ecu? If so im pretty sure it will just try and idle at hot temp speed.
You may need to warm it up with your right leg.
hey guys,.
with the new motor to go in soon,
i want to keep it simple, no heater core, no flow to the manifold/iscv,....
so what i want to do is blank of the rear plate on the 1g, and blank off all external coolant line's.....
will i have trouble with the idle speed? will it run?....
i figure it will be harder to start...tthat desnt bother me...

yeah will be stock ecu for a few more months.....
thats what i was thinking, would need to keep foot on the gas for a fe mins....
Just connect your AC idle up valve to a switch on ya dash. Flick the switch on cold mornings to bring the revs up until warm![]()
6 wire ISCV's dont monitor coolant temp.
The coolant is purely there to stop it from freezing solid in cold cold climates.
Your ecu wont even know you removed it.
