yeah think its gunna be a direct line to power the starter with a switch in the cab, only realy way i can thinkof it, i wouldnt mind still trying to find the nuetral starter switch? its the only thing i can think of that would of buggered up, therefore not starting it in any gear at all. locaed behing the dash maybe? have to have a look

the battery might have dropped a cell.
it would appear there is 12v but the battery is no longer capable of delivering the current drawn by the starter.
hello
Does it even make the "tick" "tick" sound when u turn the key ?
or does it just make no sound at all ?
it makes the tick tick sound as the relays are clicking when u turn the key. and no the battery hasnt dropped a cell, it turned over the starter easy so its not that, im wondering if the diagnosis will pick it up????
cheers brett
found out that it was the neutral switch on the gearbox that went, the plug is still ok so bridged that connection to bypass the switch, but now that car starts in any gear which is a little dodgy but it start which is the main thing i spose, gunna have to drop the gearbox out to replace it i think.
hey there mate, neutral start switches just bolt onto the side of the gearbox, easy thing to change....

ahh cheers guys, good to know people who have my back with parts n stuff, great bus just a shame that bit failed on me two days after getting is regoed, joecool was with me, and after frigging for ages it was just hopeless in the dark. i guess the next thing is trying to keep the bloody thing cool. its just not getting enough cold air, im gunna have to cut a hole in the front of it and make a air box. dunno need some better way of cooling it, everything is such a tight fit in the engine bay.
Is it hot as in water or under bonnet temp.If its under bonnet temp then it is a typical M engine. The Cressy gets very hot under the bonnet.I know the old Crown wagon used to do the same also and most M powered beasts I've come across do the same.Originally Posted by limmy

the air intake is fine, with a stock airbox its tops, howevere with a pod its actually worse.
make a box for it to keep all the engine bay heat out.
as for the under bonnet heat, as has been said, 7M's run REALLY REALLY hot normally, nothing to be concerned about as long as you know the water system is all good, and wont bugger up causing the temp to skyrocket.
7M love.
