The Cardiff in the UK is in South Wales too.
Are the 22 pin plugs fitted to any other Toyota's? Celica's, MR2's etc?
If the ST plug is 12 pin and the BT is 24, does that mean there are 12 extra wires to connect up?
Its not a hard job.. its just a bit tricky figuring out how to release the pins from the plugs... your first one will take 30mins ... the next one will take 30secs
Just draw your diagram/map on a piece of paper and then do the pins one by one.
Sorry didn't know you were from the UK, as there is a Cardiff in NSW near Newcastle. Maybe "Cardiff, UK" as your location in your profile, so we don't recommend getting parts from Australian made cars in the future![]()

1994-1998 Camrys (Caldina over there? Dunno) with the 5SFE do.
MR2s with the 3SGTE (Gen2) do.
I'm sure many more do, just those are the ones I've seen first hand.
Remember the plugs aren't Toyota plugs, they are Denso plugs and many different vehicle manfuacturers use Denso.... which is why you don't need to stick to Toyota.
There isn't 12 more wires... some of the pins on the plug are unused. I linked the pinouts above.
Is this an ok IAT to use?

Are they only found on Toyota's with MAP sensors? I'm going to go to a scrapyard tomorrow to look for the ECU plug and an IAT sensor (before I decide to buy the ECU). Where on a Toyota are these usually located?
Thanks for your help.![]()
That looks physically the same as an AE111 IAT, I dont have the EPC installed to confirm the part#
Yes, its exactly the same as the Blacktop sensor. Same part number and everything.
