Well sideshow you've wired up more than 100 of these, tell me how fast they are... 0 - 100?

i dont waste my time measuring how fast they are

i do know that some 100kws do keep up with the 20vs

only way u will know is put it on dyno and check mixtures

but i did wire one up the other day and guy rang back and said its abit sluggish

i said get o2 sensor fitted then let me know

o2 sensors can be crucial on 20vs

most people might say they are not but they have only touched 2 or 3 of them

and just to be sure i would get the o2 sensor fitted to see how it goes

it does make them sluggish down low

i know they only work below certain rpm but from what feedback i get back most the ones without o2 sensors say they are sluggish

it might not fix the prob but atleast you will get that side of things out of the way and you cannot blame the o2 sensor

plus another thing is you have ot rev them to 8000 then change gears otherwise they feel slow especially with a std 5 speed

they are very basic engines so not much can go wrong when doin conversion

at the end of the day they are ok

but if you want value for money then .................................................. ................

I have wired a few, maybe not 100 but a few and I agree that the 02 sensor is a must to get the most out of this ecu. As is a working speed sensor.

I thinking about selling this car as this conversion has brought me nothing but frustration. What do you think I could get for it, at this stage?

yer i bet he does feel good

i hear shit like this all the time

people want to sell cars because they cant get them working good

thats because they take their cars to fukt mechanics who dont know how to fix their cars properly

i usually get things sorted out in the end but you have to pay for it

this owner doesnt want to pay to get it fixed properly so i guess he will get what he deserves and sell the car

i even try to stop customers goin to aftermarket ecus because i tell them i will eventually fix their car and get it running good on std ecu

he wants to fix everything himself and he has reached limit of his ability

unfortunately theres no one smart enough in melb to fix it

so he wants to sell it now

most people are on forums to find answers because they are tight asses and down want to spend moneyu to get an expert technician to look at it

once people get this theory into their dumb ass heads the world will be a better place

just ask any really good mechanic what they think of forums on the internet

these days i dont really care im on here to be a smart ass not to help heheheeheheh

when it comes to wiring i reckon it pays to get someone to do it right the first time can save sooo many hassles later

the same can be said for mechaincial work if you have no clue about what your doing

so i guess i just agree with sideshow lol

    Money = time and time=money.

If you have 20 years free to sort it out, you save money. If you dont have time you spend money. And the world continues to go round.
