    Sweet!!

Damo I'm thinking I might grab another power under my name too just incase we dont have enough power this year. Id hate to think that we get this rigging setup and all of our lights and smoke machine but then need to turn that off when you guys DJ the place up! We really need both going at the same time you know what I mean... I'll call Alise!

yeah.. I was under the impression Wayno went and grabbed all the MDF we'll be needing. Thanks Wayno - all your help has not gone unnoticed!..
How are the spec boards coming? any luck with peoples picture page?
maybe at the least, they can have a spec board (A3 size).. don't really need a pictures page since the car will be right there

Yes - additional power is a good idea, sounds like you'll need it Wayno just with the accessories you have planned!!..

Also - who was doing the Laptop and Projector?
I will need to get a CD of OST pics to you (or just bring on the day) for the PC to scan through (winXP has a standard slide show presentation)

ok tight arses (including myself).. time to pull out the fat wallets and give generously to the "OST needs lighting" fund

Just had a call from Ryan at Extreme AV.
He is willing to do the lighting for cost price.. this is a once only, just to help us out. So give him a hand shake when you see him at AutoSalon.
That said - its still gonna cost us.

The Box set up would look the best - but is gonna total in at over $1g to hire for the weekend!

something like this: (but a little more stronger)

The other option is just some colour changing LED spotlights on 4 x 2 1/2meter tall trusses which stand individual and can then be placed anywhere.
this will cost around $600 to hire.

these prices include Ryan coming down, transporting it all there, setting it all up for us, and keeping an eye on things over the weekend, then taking it home on Sunday.

So fancy box set up.. looking at around $125 each
or 4 post set up, about $80 each..

so let the debate begin as to how much people are willing to spend.

    are you farkn serious??????

im voting for a big fark that!!!!

sounds like a waste of money to me........do we really need it??? considering we arent exactly packed full of high quality cars, i thought OZcelica's display setup last year was pretty much the go for us this year. With similar standards as far as cars go....

but thats just my opinion, see what everyone else has to say.

Wow guess thats why TUNED are having so many fundraisers ay haha

Still $125 each is not that bad for something that will stand out like dogs balls to everyone else! I guess I doubt we'd ever get a chance to set something like this up again either. I personally would op for just 3 sides rather then a box shape. The sides can go out diagonally to cover our front end something like this:

    \ _ /

Car in the middle and cars under each one on the sides so the lights can be aimed but yea depends what everyone else is doing ay coz we dont want to push the cost up for the rest of us.

And Damo all I'm bringing power wise this year is smoke machines and a couple of lights thats it! I think I'm the only one ramping my car to right?? Doesnt matter you can put me in the piggy middle at the front!

I thought we were gonna have a few ramped cars..
    1. Wayno Celica
    2. Tristan's Supra
    3. Neil's Cordia..
    4. Loz Celica
set them up at the front showroom style, and then behind them, have the rest of the cars scattered workshop stylez..

sounds like everyone has different idea's.. and at the same time - it will depend on where we are setting up in the convention centre too (which we won't know till next week).

Tristan you just have to drop your car off Friday (if possible) and pick it up Sunday night. You don't have to be there the rest of the time if you really don't want to, or can't make it. But they give you weekend passes so you can walk in and out whenever anyways..

ps. coFF33 ... hows your Soarer looking? still gonna be there??
I think Lozza is a maybe/cancel now too.. haven't heard the official word from her yet.

hmm.. well maybe we'll put your car in the middle (on a 2x4 ) and then Neils car on ramps one side, and Wayno's car on ramps the other side
    kinda like this / | \ effect ...

otherwise we could scrap the whole showroom idea, and just go for a workshop theme

Hey Lozza .. I was thinking - why not bring the MISFIT to the show, and have the BEAMS motor clean and on display on the engine stand next to it.. instead of showroom, yours can be more of a "workshop" car..

EDIT: anymore comments on lighting?? I need to get back to Ryan with what we need.
If we just do a workshop theme, then the 4 stand alone light set up at each corner would probably work.. (and cost less)

Wayno tells me that he is getting stuck into the spec boards this weekend - but is still missing pictures from a few people.
can you please email these to him asap if you want some colour added to your spec boards.. otherwise it will just be a single A3 sheet with specs only, no pictures.

    thanks
