Smokey cracky eh.... Or is it smokey ecu?
Ideas on what the S15 turbos top out at poundage wise? Everything ive read about the KKRs indicates around 20psi, which doesnt make takai a happy camper. Although that may be beacause its a warranty issue.

i also wouldnt be pushing an S15 turbo past 1.2 bar...they wouldnt be overly efficient past that anyway one would think...

Yeah, i guess hence the appeal of the Disco Potato, which by all reports will reliably do 25-28psi (through a decent system, all other things considered)

The LS1 kits seem to still use the internal gate as far as I can see, maybe jump onto a commodore forum and have a read of how they are finding themOriginally Posted by Bananaman

If in doubt power out
its easy enough to get a ext gate pipe welded into your manifold though, no big deal.

I'm not going to be pushing crazy amounts of pust (maybe 15-16psi tops), so i'm not going to run an external gate unless i absolutely have to. Not going to be oodles of space in my bay anyways methinks, is Ca18 in ke20.Originally Posted by BeRad

yeah i'm still waiting on hard evidence on how crappy the internal gates are.

well my experience with the KKR330 has been a good one.
i had one on my ca18det in a sprinter..
it was combined with a chinese manifold a crappy chinese waste gate. FC 550cc injectors Rb AFM. an awsome remap by the SPEED LAB.
any who on 1.1 bar of boost my stock ca18det ( bar a metal head gasket) made 183.4 rwkw with power coming on really strong at about 3800 rpm and climbing to the 8500 rev limit. going by the dyno chart it seems the turbo still had more in it as there was no sign of the power curve flattening out..
hey for the money they are a great turbo id much perfer to pay 750 for a brand new kkr than 600 for a clapped out s14 t28 ( thats about what they go for in my experience)
Jordy you are a mong why are u removing a perfectly awsome t28 that fits straight onto your CA to replace with a st205 turbo that will require flanges to be made...
its beyond me...
