wa trd 83: I just meant that people copy what is previously listed and then when everyone has done it the list will be there and you don't have to compile it. Either way though

rob 85: sounds like a pretty serious setup. So what issues was it having? With the right tyres, suspension and a good tune that setup sounds like it could go 11's.

Methinks problem lies between seat and steering wheel, and so does the driver

its was definately having problems, or HAS problems... basically it just looked like he was driving it down the strip, it wasnt sounding noisy or angry... John was saying his boost controller was playing silly buggers maybe thats the answer there.

but yes for the mods it has it should be owning.

    Toyota Supra (WILDSUPRA) 12.80 @ 108mph

Pretty happy with that, as most people could probably tell

A hint for everyone who wants good 60ft times, dont do your burnout in the water, the tires never get hot or sticky enough, i realised this after my first 3 runs, you need to move forward and smoke the fu*kers in the dry until they screech..... then they are warm
Hence the jump from 2.3 60ft times to 1.8 60ft times

As for John and his supra, no one should be bagging him out, he has never run down the 1/4mile in any car before and he is still getting used to his high powered beast, the hi stall he has still trips him out and yes his boost controller had a killer sad. I would bet money it was running very low boost (no where near 14psi) and it will need to be reset etc. I will assist him in sorting it out so he can return for a well earned low time!!!!

What a supra fest it turned out to be

    Cheers
    Matty

Definitely not bagging him out as I remember my first time. I was shitting myself, ended up with a PB on the night of 17.3!

Yeah bit unhappy. But hey what can ya do? Next time I might try and set the car up a bit.

    ADAM B / Toyota Soarer / 1JZGTE / 13.183

Worst part of the night is getting 3 kays from my house and something let go. Engine started vibrating badly, running on 5 cylinders, wouldn't see any boost and smoke just pissing out of the exhaust. I thought these bulletproof engines could take a few rev limiters every now and then. Definately wasn't expecting it to have a sad. I was kind of wondering why I kept even with matty halfway down the track. A 266hp to a 366hp car. Got me stumped. Must've been an unhealthy engine. Oh well, time to rip it out and find out what went wrong. I'll be putting in another stocko engine for now and then probably just building the broken one properly. But slowly as the cashola comes in. Dunno if I'll go 1.5JZ toughness yet though...

    Gene S / 1974 TA22 Celica / 2TGTEU Turbo / 15.35sec

Sorry to hear about the Soarer Adam

I was getting better at my starts, but still got some work to do to get my 60' times down from high 2's.

Not bad from the little 1600! Wonder if a LSD would help?

I've got some video, but once I figure out how to reduce it from 63MB I'll put it somewhere (only of 3 runs)

After some editing, got the file size down to a reasonable 1MB and edited the crappy bits out. Hope you enjoy. Buggered the start in the last of the runs shown

I took it for a run man.. certainly wasn't the driver..
to me it felt like it boosted hard - but just took forever to boost?!
    My run was a 14.7s..
    *shrugs*

It definately needs someone to have a good head scratch under there and see whats happening.
Hopefully it'll be closer to Matty's times next time..

and hopefully project celica will be closer to JCMF times next time!
need to sort out my engine/boost issues too.. (but first I gotta get that yellow sticker off!)

bah.. bloody lack of decent diff.. not to mention my poor ass launches and 60 footers....

best run ended up being 14.7something, on my last run when i upped the boost.. maybe thats what the problem was... pissed off now so im going more serious...

    ON THE WAY
full dump pipe 3"(heat wrapped) to meet up with rest of exhaust... .will be 3" from turbo to tip..cough cough no cat..
2.5" cooler piping running straight over the motor... coil packs moved to back of motor..
14inch rims off a XD falcon with some serious rubber.. (only for drags)
boost up to 18psi... car was only running 12 on the night till the last run..
HKS exhaust manifold with external gate
    and hopefully a decent diff..

also has anyone heard from the dude in the red supra..Tim possibly.. he had some issues on the way home.. wanna know if they got the car home alright..
