I have a look at the tags when i put in the new Boost conroller
I had a quick look this morning when I got to work. The visible tag on mine is a little chunked but I think I will be able to get something from them.

Well while putting in my DSBC i had a lookie at the part number using a mirror...The only tag i can see is the one to the turbo closes to the firewall.
The part Number is : 10572
I wait till you get yours Nathan and see if there is a diffrence..
I was at Lindens workshop the other day and we measured up a set of the Trust upgrade turbo's for the 1G.
Intake Wheel - 37mm at the Top, 49mm at the Base.
Exhaust Wheel - 40mm at the Top, 47mm ate Base.
Anyone measure the Blitz Items yet ?

I nearly purchased a set of hybrid 1G/1JZ turbos for the gold celica. They used the 1G Exhaust side and the 1JZ compressor side. I can't remember what core they used, I think the 1G. Supposedly it cost the guy a bomb to get it done (close on 2K) and the end results with aftermarket computer was only 180rwkw. There were bolt up on the exhaust side but custom on the compressor side. I don't think they would have fitted too well in the celica bay as the back turbo sits quite close to the master cylinder.Originally Posted by VeeP
To put a full 1JZ setup in would require custom manifolds. I had thought at one stage of using 1JZ turbos on custom manifolds, using just an adapter on the 1G exhaust manifolds. You could have both turbos facing forwards and out a little allowing a good dump for each turbo. This setup should be good for low 200rwkw given what people have achieved with standard 1G's.
Another difference I noted with the 1G turbos is that they have slightly different exhaust manifolds too. Both look to be quite good designs and have prooven to flow well on Josh's corolla.

rod,
may have figured out a way to crack that 200rwkw mark with yours.
if you have some spare gen3 comp covers (or turbos) sitting around for some slight mods
just found a nice little comp wheel for them with a 34mm inducer, the discharge hight looks correct and the total hight is slightly shorter but the comp efficiency should be better due to a nicer inducer angle on the blades.
midrange should pick up also as they have a 50mm exducer therefore less rotational inertia.
btw after having a good look comparing the TRUST td04 CHRA, it is much better from a wheel areodynamics point of view and you can see why dav's have alot less lag from the gen 2 turbos.
i will get him to throw up some pics of the old chra (damn plastic intake pipes)
cheers

Hi,
I was thinking of putting my Gen 3 Intake pipes on my Gen 3 turbo's, but wouldn't that disturb the flow of air and cause problems if I don't port match it? If that is the case I wont do it.
I was however wondering is there any size differences of the Gen 2 and Gen 3 Turbo Outlet pipe?
Anybody know, or willing to measure their Gen2 or Gen3 Outlet pipe?
What about the Inlet pipe before the throttle body?
If somebody could take measurements of their Gen 2 ones that would be good, so I can compare with my Gen 3.

I think you will find that the bolt spacing is different.
