is the 20v o2 sensor a 3 or 4 wire and does anyone know of a suitable aftermarket replacement?

if you can find the ngk oxy sensor catalog you might find a replacement for an ae101

almost all will be fine.
there are some differences in the resistance of the heating element, but not so much to worry (iirc, bosch has a lower heating current).
the output should be the same from all the narrow band sensors, so as long as you can find one that fits, (or if it has a flange, get a flange made, or from exhaust shop), then it will be fine.
