Primitive? A few chunky bits of plate steel welded together, what more do you expect of engine mounts? They look fine to me.

For $300 I'd expect something that doesn't look like its been cut out of a steel plate with an angle grinder or dropsaw, had a few holes drilled in it, and welded together.
