Yep, I'll be there at 7.45
Brakes bled, gearbox oil changed, i think the car's ready.
The brakes still aren't perfect, the discs didn't look great, and there's still... i guess 'flex' is the best way to describe it, in the pedal, it doesn't bite with the first lean on the pedal, more after you apply more pressure, but they're good enough. I'm thinking maybe the pads are cooked, i've had a set crumble and fall apart when i was changing them before.
Still planning on getting up early and getting the car washed before work, but i'll pack the car when i get home. Remember: licence, helmet, long clothes, sleeping bag, pillow, beer, camera.
Can i get confirmation of who i'm expecting to see at the meet tomorrow night? Everyone happy with the location and right to meet at 7:45 for an 8pm leave?
My mobile number is a few posts up if you need me, and i'll have my CB with me on ch16 too. Anybody coming from near/via the city is welcome to meet me round here first if they want.
You other guys i'll see friday morning.![]()

Ok, no rush for us to get to the servo too far before 8pm then, we'll wait for you then head off.
Meetup point we used last time is the servo on williamson rd. Take the brooks rd exit off the hume soon after the m7, where it spreads to 4 lanes. Turn right at the roundabout onto williamson rd, then its a fair way down on the left. It's just before the last roundabout that puts you back on the hume.

I'm coming down Friday morning, but only to spectate.
Anyone feel like "carpooling".
Send me a PM.
well i just finished putting on my semi-slicks then got a wheel alignment done...i LOVE the feeling of the semi-slicks, so much more feedback through the steering wheel
tho my brake rotors haven't arrived yetlooking to me like i probably won't be fitting them today unless they turn up in the next hour or 2
oh well i guess if my current brakes are already rooted, can't do much more damage to them(wrong attitude i know...sue me)
Cheers
Nathan
P.S. the cabins are just past the track right? where is the entry? i am expecting to be there probably 8-9pm

I wish I could say i've just put my semi's on.. Damn low budget street tyres.
Did fluid changes on the RA28 and AE86 last night. Had a bit of a scare when the AE86 sump plug was completely stripped of thread. But found a spare on my 1G engine thats sitting around.
Both also had wheel alignments yesterday.. 2.5 deg neg camber on them, a bit of toe in on the ae86 as it seems to get unstable otherwise. The RA with neutral.
The T18 is safely tuned for 10psi now and going pretty hard. The extra boost caused IC pipes to start blowing off but some stronger clamps have been fitted now and hopefully put an end to that.
Im excited! Been SOO long since my last wakefield trip.. I was trying to remember when it was, must have been winter as I recall spending the day prior getting the heater working in the celica. And freezing my arse off at the servo we all met up at.
The weather report is looking good for tomorrow:

Glad it isn't going to be too hot.. Was worried if we had a 30 + day what the coolant, intake, oil temps would be like.
The cabins are on the property just before the track, called the pelican sheep station. You'll see the sign on the left as you approach it, it's a few hundred metres after the school zone.Originally Posted by Roundy
Go up the drive, stay right when it splits, and continue down past demountable cabins on your right. We've got the bunkhouse past those, keep going until you see the bonfire and the toilet block, and park in front of the toilet block. The bunkhouse is in next to the fire, and should be unlocked. If anyone asks, it's booked to Ryan, and he should be there soon after you. You should remember him, he'll be towing the Zed if you're not sure.
Yeah Joel, last one was June, early june i think. They had one on the 1st of september last year, but i was at EC the day before and couldn't take 2 days off work. No-one from toymods went to that day either, so it's been 9 months since we've been to wakefield!
Shane, i put the frown because there's spots going to waste, and i hate to see that happen. First time actually, but there were so many people keen, and plenty got turned away, but now there's opportunities for two more people to join us and they're missing out.
I can change it back if you'd like? Don't want to get everybody down!

Thanks for that forecast Shane
A brake bleed last night (thanks Mos and Matt) took care of my minimal preparation required.. Kinda starting to feel a little bit excited now (even though my lap times are hardly going to be anything near inspiring..)
Ah that's a shame, the waiting list was quite long for this day not so long ago.Originally Posted by -GT-

Yeah. Oh well, couple less bits of traffic and less times there'll be a queue for us.
Paul, times don't matter, you'll still have bucketloads of fun!
