You need at least 295mm to accommodate the rotor and caliper. Depends on the alignment added by the spacer but you should be OK.Originally Posted by 1JZ~lux

Here are measurements from my R32 rotors. Obviously GTS-T given that the diameter is 280mm.

Yeah I ment the 14" wheels.Originally Posted by -==L=a=N=c=E==-
I'm going to do some more investigating of the internal wheel diameters on the stock 14s and see if can work out exactly where in the wheel the brakes will be sitting. Hopefully they'll be closer to the back where theres more space and I can fit one of the larger sizes.
Im chasing up my mate to borrow his set, see if i can fit them on with minimal issues.

whats the difference between the gtr calipers and the gts-t calipers?
R32 or R33?
R32 GTR calipers are Brembo models, but with the same dimensions as GTST R33 calipers.
R33 GTR calipers are also Brembos but much larger mounting radii.

I thought only the V-Spec got the Brembos and the lower spec got the "Nissan" sumitomo calipers? The dba catalogue appears to confirm this.Originally Posted by takai

R32 GTST with nissan caliper = 280mm
R32 GTR with nissan caliper = 296mm dia.
R32,33,34 GTR with Brembo caliper = 324mm dia
R33 GTST with nissan caliper = 296mm dia
Check on the above link if you wish to confirm.
Gawd the interchangeability of Nissan brake components makes me sick![]()
Hm, i thought that the R32 GTR (at least in initial revisions) had a 296mm rotor with a Brembo caliper.
Ive certainly seen one with a brembo caliper and what looked to be a stock caliper bracket, but we were certainly fitting 296mm rotors.
Admittedly it is possible that Nissan/Sumitomo took over from that after an initial period with the 296mm Brembo caliper.

You can get GTR in V Spec and ? Spec with V Spec having more fruit eg the Brembos F+R.Originally Posted by takai
Hence my comment about interchangeability, the nissan brakes are easily interchangeable across a few models, the GTR brake upgrade to the brembos is one such option.Originally Posted by takai
One of my friends has a V spec model R32 GTR and most of the others he looked at before purchasing were the lower spec model with the Nissan calipers.
Think of it like WRXs with STI and the lower end onesOne has Brembo one has Poobaroo calipers
was thinkn of going with r32 gtr calipers (if the sumitomos are better than the r32 gts-t) but i assum i will have to use the gts-t rotors?
The R32 caliper with "Nissan" cast on them is made by sumitomo (they make some of the calipers for toyotas and many other companies too).Originally Posted by millsi
Your choice of caliper from a GTR is either the "Nissan" caliper as pictured in this thread by infotech or the Brembo caliper from a V Spec model which will need the larger rotor to match.
Refer to the DBA catalogue for the rotor size differences.
The rotors infotech has posted pics of are an R32 GTST rotor.
i have an R32 GTR.
stock GTR is nissan/ sumitomo calpers, V spec is brembo, same disc width for both but the V spec is 324 dia, stock is 294 dia . bolt pattern is the same. dont know about gtst, never delt with one.

so could i use the r32 gtr nissan/sumitomo, calipers and discs on the hilux?
Just use R33 GTST calipers, they are much easier to get and dont command the omgwtfGTRtax.
