Mate its not about who is pretty or fast, we are out there for a cruise and a good time

Although i wont be going. Turns out Mr Roadworthy Man was fairly strict on my poor car. So i'll be off the road for some time. Gives me a chance to fix all the little things that have been annoying me since this car became my daily and my weekender since i got back from overseas. The guy was picking out imperfections in my poor baby ... should have punched him for it!

To everyone going along, have some fun!

Yeah, guys just a warning when we get over the border, ive heard its some pretty windy roads there, with 60km limits, even though I said its going to be "fun", Im warning all of you now to please take some care around this area, we dont want anyone going over the edge in their car. We're there to have a good time, not to endanger lives. So please be sensible and cautious, and read the road properly. If you are unsure of the conditions ahead, dont take the risk.

That said, im starting to get slightly disappointed with you 1st genners I understand some people have to work, or their car isnt going to ready for the cruise, but I would have thought we could get more classics to come along than what I have in the list.

Please, if you know of other people with a 1st gen celica, even if you see them in a carpark and hunt them down (done this before ) , please encourage them to come along.

I was thinking that maybe you could try and organise another one early in the new year and you might get more interest. I mean, I for one would be able to make it and that's what really counts .

Well this definately wont be the last celica cruise i'll be organising, but it would be nice if we could get a lot of celicas together for this one. After this one, my car will probably be off the road for a few months getting a new lease of life so it wont be happening until after that, or when RAd28 gets his kermit back on the road at least

we wont be coming now, decided to spend the money on going to black duck to go motocross riding ova the weekend, plus i cant drive that slow, it costs too much money. its a waste of fuel anything under 4000rpm. also i dont have a car for a while, i need a diff, universal and some suspension. possibly remove the cat as it is fallen apart anyway.

I hope you guys have a great cruise - if you take any pics i'd love t put them in the toyota car club magazine - we need more cruise pics!!

If you want to repeat the trip later in the year - come back via Queen Mary Falls (you head further towards Warwick before coming down the range) - the road before and after it is wonderful (lots of corners and surprises) and the falls have a nice, sheltered bbq spot.

I'll be visiting relatives in Toowoomba so i wont be there - but i'll be wishing i was (after hearing the story about the bull that kept my uncle peter in the top of the hay feeder all day .. for the 28th time).

it'll be expensive for petrol for me, but put me down too

i hope non-celica's are ok. if you squint just right im sure celsior could look like celica
would be plenty fun to play around with some smaller cars too (sick of only screwing around with fords/holdens)

i dont see why it wouldnt be, just means we need a little more care going into corners, and i have to rotate my tyres cos the ones on the back are great in the dry and shit in the wet.

quick list of things to do:

bleed brakes (dont wanna ruin somone elses car let alone your own)
check coolant and radiator hoses, bring a bottle of water just in case
check oil level (some of us use lots of it)
have an inflated spare, jack and wheel brace
