No BOV on a 1G is perfectly fine if on stock turbos.
It doesn't have it from factory, why add one?

My 1jz stalls when backing off heavy throttle. Would that be cause my BOV could be leaking?

    Cheers,
    Jase

EDIT: Wait, its a map sensor, it wouldnt matter if air pressure was lost would it?
EDITED: Also, my mate ran a BOV as when backing off high boost, it would shoot the airfilter guts or soemthing, out... I dunno if it was a dodgy KnN look alike, but he spent alot of money, so i assume it was a KnN pod...?

No, with MAP sensors you can vent to atmo if you must.

Possibility, but the 1j has individual coil packs... So if anything has gone, its a whole coil pack right?

Ill clean the ISCV, see if that fixes the idle, hopefully the stalling thing is just cause it cant idle properly or something when i back off...

well how low is the idle?
mine only stalled when it was running on 5 because it didnt like idling...obviously.

so if you sort the idle issue i think you will sort the issue

yeah, thats probs the main cause.
once the idle is fixed, if it still happens then troubleshoot it.

but you have an obvious issue that needs to be fixed before you trouble shoot anything else
