The stock plenum flows 280cfm, the stock head only flows about 150cfm, even a fully done head, with about as much port work as possible and stock valves only flows 200cfm, so the answer to your question is that the manifold is good for as much power as your engine will ever make. I have made 310rwkw so far with one, although it melted 1 and 6 as the stock manifold flows 10cfm more air on 1 and 6 than every other runner, and if you keep the factory butterflies in there, they also make 1 and 6 flow 10cfm more again, so 20cfm total more air on 1 and 6. Thats a big difference when your running fair amounts of boost, or leaning it out past about 11.5/12:1 A/F.
I have since had mine power ported to solve the problem and built a new engine, I'm hoping for 358rwkw when my new engine is tuned and cams dialled in. One thing that may help you, if you pull out the stock butterfies and look at them, the shaft that goes through the runners and has the butterflies on them finishes short in runners 1 and 6, there is nothing in these ports, and this is responsible for the extra 10cfm of flow in these cylinders. All you need to do is drill and tap a hole for a 4mm bolt in the ends and screw a long bolt into the port. Problem Solved!! Now you only have to worry about the 10cfm difference in the manifold

I've got a set of Gen3, a set of Gen2.5 and set of NA cams to try when I get a profiler.

No not as yet.... I've been busy swapping engines in the Corolla. and breaking the engine in the Cressida.
I might however have an answer to what 6Boost was on about here in regards to running a bit of dowel in the end runners in the TVIS plate. I've had the guys here running numbers on the size of the dowel that will make all the runners flow equal.
I just need to do a little more research and check some numbers.
Then I worry about more lift for the next attempt

Yeah I have done abit of net research about either removing it completely of locking the butterflys open, It seems unless you are running a Hi-po track car that you would experience losses in power in the bottom end and through the mid range.
I'm gathering this info for a Tech document.
Also with the head flow much lower than the intake Mainifold I don't really see that limiting flow on 1 and 6 is going to be an issue if they are going to end up equal and the car can be tune closer to the desired A/F ratio.

Indeed. I'd much rather have even flow with some "perceived" ultimate flow loss, especially given how much the manifold outflows the head.

I tend to disagree with the remarks made by 6BOOST, @ 25 inches of water tested on a flowbench the stock plenum flows somewhat 228-245 cfm not 280 which is still way more than the head, which does flow about 160 odd cfm. I found that when tested the runners that flowed the least were 2 and 5 where as 1,3,4,and 6 flowed a way higher number than these other 2 runners, though you have to remember that all casting aint perfect so each plenum is going to be different, and its going to be the same with the head. Flow rates on the head should be able to be brought up to round the 190-200cfm mark and the plenum can be brought up to round about 290cfm average per runner using the extrude honeing method performed by Andrew Sanders of Specialised Power Porting.
Interesting. On a side note, how much does the power porting cost for something like the manifold?

I have a feeling that those numbers quoted By 6Boost are for a GZE intake manifold.

I'm pretty sure that was a TT inlet manifold. He may have been using a GZE block, but definetly TT manifold. I'll try and dig it up.
