    Hi,

    355 divided by 113 gives a very close value to Pi. Accurate to a few decimal places IIRC.

    As for the cost of an exhaust, a decent 3" from turbos to exhaust tip will prob set you back AUD$1000 and upwards depending on the quality of materials used ie mild steel, cheap cats and mufflers, no. of flanges (if any) and so on.

    I'm unsure on the current exchange rate in the asshole republic so i dunno how much it would cost you over there.

    pipe/rod/etc is never measured in cm, because its a stupid measurment, and it is never specified in radius because you cannot measure radius.
    The formula is Circumference (C) = pi (22 divided by 7) times R squared

    So ...

    Divided 32cm by 2.54 to get the correct unit of measurement = inches

    that's 12.6 inches corrected to two decimal points.

    Now, 12.6 = 22/7 x R2 or

    12.6 x 7 = 22 x R2 or

    88.2/22 = R2. You then end up with roughly

    R2 = 4 or R = the square root of 4, with a final result

    2 inches

    Cheers

    youre joking right???????

    firstly, pi is NOT 22/7

    22/7 = 3.142857143

    pi = 3.141592653589793238462643383279502884197169399375 10582097494459230781640628620899862803482534211706 79821480865132823066470938446095505822317253594081 28481117450284102701938521105559644622948954930382 0...

    secondly, area of a circle = pi*R^2

    thirdly, the circumference is pi*D or 2*pi*r

    and if you dont believe me,

    Nope. You've embarrassed yourself and put these forums into ill repute. It's gonna take us months to recover from this traversty!

    interestingly enough, you came to the right answer because he just happens to have the only diameter exhaust where 2r = r^2

    so you would get 1 mark for getting the correct answer through sheer luckj, and lose lots of marks for butcheriung the science of mathematics

    Damn someone read my post before I could get my ninja edit in!

    Sorry mate, for some reason I often seem to have brain fade all up until I read my post AFTER I have actually hit submit. In this case I confused area with circumferrence (must be contagious)
