try plugging a soarer one in
Have searched this forum and found that the circuit boards for Soarer and Celsior have the facility to either bridge or unbridge the limit of 108K.
My JZX90 MarkII board is similar in layout to the Soarer, it has the same connector size and pin arrangement but there is no obvious facility to override the 108K limit.
The attached boards illustrate what I mean. Can anyone help?

1989 GZ20 GT-T Soarer with 1G-GTE
2008 IS250 with not enough power
Arthur, I have done the cruise control mod, on both Soarer, and Celsior.
If your board is the same as the Soarer, solder a bridge between 2 terminals
The Celsior, is even simpler, cut 1 wire.
For pictures, and tutorials, on both, visit: www.soarercentral.com.au
cheers Chuck.

Thanks for the two replies. I have looked at both boards mentioned and the mods are as you say quite simple.
Just as luck would have it my board is different to both Soarer and Celsior boards. There is no provision to cut or insert a bridge.
The pin layout of the JZX90 board is the same as the Soarer but have been told that the pin usage is different. The Soarer socket that accepts the plug is also slightly different.
If anyone has a wiring diagram for a JZX90 cruise control I could compare it to the Soarer and possibly rearrange the pin layout to achieve some compatability.
Have not given up yet but still need help.
One of the moderators has a sense of humour. I might have been a first year apprentice 40 years ago. How does retired aircraft engineer sound instead?

Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services. The programme wouldn't accept just "Qantas".
Good stuff Arthur.
Was the xxx90 series sold to the USA, or any country other than Japan.?
Japan, is the only place where that cruise restriction of 108kph is law, so source a cruise control computer from OS other than Japan..
cheers Chuck.

JZX90/100's were the offerings to a pampered local market only so it would appear my best option is to modify a Soarer circuit board as the operating mechanism is the same. It will come down to whether the JZX90 computer recognises the Soarer board.
