Yeah the RA23, and RA28 owners have got it easy, the TA22 guys have to contend with a much narrower set of chassis rails, so the KE70 crossmember is out of the question.

    cheers Chuck.

damned steve-o has a mess of wires, pipes and cables there... I hope a tidy up is on the cards.

Thanks for the pics steve-o (and for TA-022 for putting them up).

Apart from agreeing with Owen... time for an engine bay tidy up ...
Can anyone identify what the rack is out of?
From first look at the pics, the rack doesn't appear to have any modifications/welds, but that doesn't mean it couldn't have been modded.

The angle on those linkages also looks a little harsh... what does it feel like to steer steve-o, does it feel a little 'sticky' or smooth?

For those guys with the 'room-ier' *A-23/28s how does the angle compare to steve-o's TA-22?

Like you mentioned before Chuck, it is good to see people collaboratively solving a solution... I'm keen to see what we can all come up with.
    Cheers,
    David.

haha i know its a mess in there its getting stripped and fresh paint so it'll get a tidy up and all the oil cleaned away. i know the angles on the linkages do look a bit harsh but as far as driving it goes, from the wheel it feels smooth no tight points or notchy areas. its still a tad heavy when the motor is in but not nearly as bad as the old t-18 i used to have but the response is excellent, feels really good on the road. i might pull it out over the weekend to centralise it and give it a good cleanup. so i can get some better pics of the thing and see if its been shortened or if it has any indication of what its out of.
ta-022 cheers for posting the pics mate.

Just slice it straight don the middle, take out what you need gone, join back together with a bit of extra bracing. Similar for rack and done. Looks factory and no weird suspension/steering geometry to worry about.
