    Im going to try with a rattle gun today, just borrowed my dads. As for all you guys wonderful tips, thanks. The motor is currently sitting on the ground with no head on it or gear box so im hoping the gun is going to do the job!
    I also found a receipt for the car which says the motor had a refresh only 18 months ago, now the guy i took the head to says that usually means a re ring. Now that cost him $2500 so hopefully they would have done the bearings as well.

    Rip the sump of and pull a rod cap off. Soon tell you how the bearings are.

    well the bolt is undone and the flexi plate bolts are out also!
    I went to see the bloke about picking up the head and he hasnt even started it .
    Also had a lt of trouble with new flywheel bolts, took 4 goes for the clutch place to get the correct ones but, its all good cause i ended up with ARP ones.
