Just a quick one but does anyone know of a supplier of the Pug discs?

DBA/RBA don't list anything any more or even OS seems unavailable

    Hi,

I managed to get mine from a guy in Everton park near Brisbane. Pretty sure he was called peugeot spares or something. He said he had no problems in getting them and they were 170 for the pair. Standard only though.

This prolly isn't that much help given that you're in the ACT, but the guys at Trade Brake and Clutch in Clayton, VIC are always really helpful (to the point where they tell you to go elsewhere if it means you'll be better off). Give em a call and see what they say about the Peugot discs Ph: 03 9546 7222

For anybody wanting to put a new MA70 brake master cylinder into their RA28/RA23, I've been told by several places that PBR have discontinued production on they one they used to have. I managed to get a Protex one (part no: JB6086) from Better Brakes in Bayswater,VIC (Ph: 9729 6611).
    Cheers,
    Ben

Edit: This part doesn't actually fit, for some reason its a completely different mounting and wrong size (15/16, not 1 inch).

Thought I should update this so nobody goes ordering the wrong parts...

I went to put in my new master cylinder last night and it turns out that the Protex part is comepletly wrong. Instead of four bolt holes its only got 3 (in a triangular pattern) and instead of being 1 inch its only 15/16! I've spent a fair bit of time talking to Better Brakes, the Protex distributor and another reseller today and all of them have told me that according to the distributors catalogue it's the correct one and that's all they have (including the one for the non turbo MA70, part no JB1735 which is three bolt too). But it's definitely not right. So yeah, don't go ordering either of the above mentioned part numbers, it will get you nowhere. Sorry for the confusion.

    Cheers,
    Ben

If you are looking for a MA70 brake master cylinder, look on the US eBay site. I picked one up for around $100 shipped to my door.

I bought of the seller "europarts4auction" and the part name was "Toyota Supra New Brake Master Cylinder M56209"

In the description it says it fits "Toyota Supra 1986 - 1991 (cars without ABS)".

I havn't yet fitted mine, but looking at the bolt hole spacing it seems about right. The brake line fitting positions seem consistant with the photos I've seen of these fitted

    hI,

alot of lancruiser master cyls are the 4 bolt pattern and not hard to get in 1" bore (91-96 80's series) not sure on them 100% yet as i am yet to do it. But i'll be getting one of them regardless for my fj40 and i'll look and see if it will do the job infront of the supra booster

MA61 is 15/16, 4 bolt and easy to get

Ive been using one on my KE70 with a pug/lux/rona upgrade for about 5years and 100,000kms now with no dramas, feels great, stops awesome

4bolt ones are fairly easy. MX83 are a 1" bore and same 4 bolt pattern as the MA61 masters.

The 2 bolt style are a bit harder to find.

you use the pug disc one: because its ventilated and two: seems to align up with the hilux caliper quite well.

I'm interested to know if anyone has successfully run the AE86 power steering arms with the CPH upgrade?

I've read around various places that the PS arm causes the rotor to hit the control arm. Certainly seems to be this way in my test fit.

There looks like there could be enough meat to give the edge of the control arm a bit of a bash in, I could probably gain about 4-5mm, not sure its enough though.

Just wondering if anyone else has successfully run this combo? If so how?
