Unless you have no idea, they suggested I use an 8" spring rated 325lbs to 350lbs for the sort of driving I will be doing (spirited daily driver, some track use).

Ok, just heard back from Noltec....

51mm coil over kit Part # N44503
Price: $260 (converts 2 struts)

Coil over springs - 8,10 or 12 inch lengths - 275lb to 650lb
Price: $96 (per spring)

So thats $452 total.... for around $300 you can get the lot from TechnoToyTuning (works out at AU$250 for coilovers and AU$50 to ship to Australia)....

So Ive just made an executive decision on where I am buying my coilover kit!

Interestingly enough i was just having a search on E-Gay and found remanurfactured
Gemini Hubs with all bearings in a 5 Stud Pattern for $380.

Shop called MrSpares ... his ad mentions they also fit HQ or he has others to fit HQ.

Which use the exact same bearings as our xt130/raxx conversion here.

Well, actually that was going to be my next topic of disucssion, as I am still unsure of this as well
What strut inserts do you use? TA22 ones, Corona ones... Ive even heard rear AW11 thrown around....

Any help would be much appreciated, this is the last stage of research before I go head and build these.

I think I'll just take my struts strait from the wrecker to toperperformance and say, make these good. I was quoted around $500 for koni adjustables and $165 for eibach springs. I'm not fussed about coilovers as the car needs a ramp check before its allowed back on the road

A few of us have said what we use and where a good place to start is. T3 is on the money there though with those rates, the 8" of spring doesnt particularly matter, but shoudl be matched to how much travel you have in your shock. Will write more later.

on the topic of sring rates does any one know how to convert sping rates ie i would like to know what is 250 lbs springs and 230 lbs springs in kg/mm little help please.

Okay have ordered the coilover kit from TechnoToyTuning, will post up a piccy on here when the stuff arrives.... opted for the 4-10 day shipping which was about US$70 as I just couldnt wait the 4-10 weeks for US$30...

guys just a quick question i have the landcruiser calipers, like so \/

now my question is the bleed nipple should go at the top of the caliper right? (im trying to figure out which caliper is right and left)

Yes, bleed nipple always goes at the top of a caliper. Otherwise you couldnt get all the air out.

P.s. those calipers are early model hilux and maybe early cruiser as well. They take a slightly modified S4 RX7 pad rather than the dropin Z32 pad.
