They are actually there to hold the pads away from the disc.

Also, i would always be putting the pads in after putting the caliper on the disc.

FWIW i dont use them, just one more thing to screw up. Ive had one unclip and flick into the vents in my rotors.

    Mikie,
Is this a ground control coil over kit with Eibach springs on xT132 Corona struts, with T3 adjustable strut tops?
    Cheers,
    Mitch.

Im wondering.. Ive got stock struts in my RT142 with bilstien inserts in them.. I want to run coilover springs so i can get some camber..

Do i need to cut down the strut etc in order to do this? Or can i just put the sleeve on etc?
Will this cause me any problems with ride hieght and bump and droop setups?

What a want to do is get another set of stock struts put the sleeve on get it all ready to go and just swap it all over in an afternoon..

I didnt put the shocks in so i dont know about spacers etc, id say they would have been spaced up though...

    thanks,

    Chris.

    1. the sleves just slip over the strut tube, there are 2 types, weld on, and bolt on , you'll only need to shorten if your insert isn't stock length.

    2. no idea, may depend on how low you go.

cant wait to get them in and check the camber/caster, the -tv camber rca should help too.

    cheers Mike

Thanks for that.. I spose i should pull one of the shock out and see if its spaced up or not and maybe cut the struts down that much then not use the spacer when i put it all together? Will that give the right effect?

    Thanks,

    Chris.

    Thank Mike,
I forgot to mention that those struts look like they are sitting on T3 RCA's as well...do I win a prize?! :-)

Had a quick search of this thread and could not see it here, so...

GZ20 and M/GA70 Brake MCs are identical... (All 3 are different to the JZA70 Brake MC)

Discovered recently when I found a GZ20 at my local wreckers and measured up the bolt pattern before purchasing...

MX83 also fit well. the line closest to the firewall is kinda in an awkward spot though. it will point out towards the plenum/carbs and will need a tight bend.

    cheers Mike

The MX83 Brake MC looks very similar to the JZA70 Brake MC and has the rear brake line coming out on the same side...
