And that bracket is soo simple, could whip that up in no time.

    +rep for the idea!

Would it be possible to get a weight on the caliper? The bracket looks so easy to mill up. Can you get a dust shield on that at all?

Also the main question needed to know. Did you machine the hub or disc at all?

TA-022 I can get 17 inch wheels on with about 15mm to spare.

CUZZO I'll trying to match a stone guard up not sure on what i'll use yet but there will be something out there. The weight of the caliper?? Good question they weigh less than the hilux calipers but the rotors are a lot heaver than peugot. The center hole on the rotor was machined out about 3mm and the pcd redrilled.

    Cheers

Just been having fun rebuilding the hilux calipers (FINALLY) and realised one caliper is missing the two "M" shaped wire clips that hold the brake pads in (these are held in by the pins).

I'll be asking my supplier tomoz if they can get them, but does anyone have a spare set lying around they could help me out with? Probably unlikely but no harm asking. They are the caliper with 2 different sized pistons. Not the best example but its the clip shown at the very bottom of this pic:

Oh and the RX7 pads I used (Bendix Ultimates) didnt need any mods to fit in the calipers.
Also scored myself a Camry MC (actually an Aurion one but same shit I think... or at least hope)... so its all coming together now.....

Lol-i lost one when i did my rebuild- just go do a 4wd wreckers tour, youll find one.
have you put them on the discs yet? my drama wasnt getting the pads in the caliper, it was getting them in the caliper when it was on the disc. My rx7 pad fouled on the caliper just above the pistons and had to have some of the backing plate ground off, and then it was nun-spec getting it in. i finally hammered it in and it was so tight the front wheels just locked up when i drove it. had to linish em down before i could even drive it!
though everything i do seems to be a bit more difficult than it is for my fellow toymodders
    GA23(never finished-now with cracked block ) JZX83 (Tyre eater) 3sgte AE86. by now i should know better.

Lol thanks for the advice I'll be dummy assembling everything up with the brakes before it goes in the car to make sure it all works, and to double check how much i need to take off the outside diameter of the rotors, so i'll make sure the pads fit right.

My supplier cant get me some clips so i'll put up a wanted thread, but will probably have to go hunting wreckers I cant believe you cant get these new!! The other option was to try some brake shops.....

There was a shop on ebay that have all the bits for the calipers but i cant remember what theyre called. They dont have the item listed on ebay but u can email them asking for that clip. Worth a try i think it was only a few bucks.
