Let's all just agree that both the hole in the block and the hole in the butt have been and will be subjected to a great amount of pain.

They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

    Here's a couple more pics

Offending rod. Other half and piston are firmly jammed into the bore.

    Rod journal is perfect.

    Block is not perfect.

The plan that is in now in effect is to find another V12 (done), deliver it to Al (done), get him to swap all the bits over, put the new engine in and get it running NA (done), make a set of sexy NA extractors (not done) and finish tuning (not done).

Dropped the new engine off on Tuesday afternoon and got this video yesterday afternoon.

I'm going to keep the heads and the crank for future possible R&D tasks. Lots of measurements will be taken of the block and internals for sourcing forged goodies, then the block is going to be used by another guy for mocking up his conversion. Then it'll probably become a coffee table base.

lol nice. Have you got any extra ancillaries? IE alternator, air con pump etc...... I've got a 1GZ on it's way, but don't have much bolted to it. I know that 1uz stuff is pretty similar so will use that if i can't source it elsewhere.

exact same chassis/gearbox combo/suspension setup? i am just assuming that it's going to get quite tight running 6 pipes past the steering rack/starter motor etc etc would probly be best to just have him make a set for your specific application, but i wouldn't rule it out..

    Hi,

mine is going into an FJ40 landcruiser, so room shouldn't be a problem...... Mine is now about 2 weeks away from getting here and i'm 99% sure i don't have any headers, so i need to do something about them sooner or later.

As the pics in the original post are gone, anyone want to measure the height of a complete GZ?
    Cheers

    Cool

Just interested in the height measurement from the bottom of the upper alloy part of the sump (so not the bowl) to the highest part of the intake- those two rectangular plenum?
