Argh... why did i ever decide to use 3/8ths bundy for my fuel lines!!!
What a bastard to bend.
5hrs later, one line bent and installed... 2 more to go.

Just drill a hole straight down through to underneath the car and run a hose through it.Originally Posted by fade-e

its anealed so it bends easily with the benders i use (or around a pipe) but would probably crush if you tried to do it around your thumb tightly.

Has there been any more succsess on intake ideas to avoid surge tanks at all?

Dont think so...
Youll find that a lot of race cars with EFI tanks still use surge tanks.
Ie, its very difficult to make an in tank pickup surge proof, so surge tanks are the way to go.

Has anybody else investigated the CIvic pump idea further?

Agreed... There's no way I'm running my car without a surge tank for what I plan to do with it, but a nice simple idea maybe useful for others...
Intank surge tank, but it requires a lot of tank mods (might even do something like that for the 28 though, and will be doing a full custom tank for the 23)

Doing the things that aren't popular... cause being popular and being good are often distinctly different.
Anybody tried the teflon lined fuel hose? Not the braided stainless hose with teflon inner, there is apparently a rubber hose that has a teflon liner, to eliminate any fuel vapour passing through the hose wall. More expensive than most, but if you already have a boot-mounted system then it has got to be an easier option than relocating the lot?
Just dusting the cobwebs off this thread...
Anyone had more success with different surge tank setups??
I'm currently planning mine now, tossing up between the spare tyre well or under the car. My engineer wants it all completely sealed (as per usual) and to have a drainage system in place (also as per usual).
So far, I've got a horizontally opposed surge tank, VL turbo in-line bosch pump, electric carby pump for the pickup, and a filter for each pump.
Been furiously searching the net for pics of other peoples setups, but it would be nice to see a backyard job, that satisfies the engineering requirements above, and utilises the spare wheel well or the space below the factory jack location.

Al

Check around Feb 2001 on my site.
I got a tank from the US and fitted a high flow pump straight in. The tanks has baffles stock and wit ha bit of fiddling I work out perfectly with no need for external pots etc.
