Try Dave at Celica Spares in Adelaide, I have seen he is doing some for RA23/28, he might have some for the '22 as well.

Try to find and get in contact with "lt1972" here on the forums, he used to be in Adelaide but is now in queensland somewhere.... anyway he was making them from scratch to suit TA22's cos we found we couldn't get them, was a good job too and looked great when painted up.

Question Re: strut brace for a TA22

If you find someone who has or makes them, could you let me know, as I'm curious as to how much one would be?

    I have a TA22 with a 2TG in it, just in case.

I'm pretty sure Dave at Celica Spares just resells the Whiteline items.
I've never seen a TA22 item for sale but I've seen RA21s in America with them. Maybe theres a supplier over there? Or just custom jobs?

There was one on ebay like yesterday... think it is sold now, but yeah they do exist.

EDIT My bad it was a TA23 one.... not sure if their the same. I am pretty sure this doesnt fall under the new no ebay links rule but here we go.

Ive spotted a fair few ta/ra23/28 braces for sale, but never one for a ta22. I work at an automotive retailer on the weekends, and every catalogue Ive looked through misses the 22. Even upon ringing up the suppliers they simply informed me they dont manufacture them for that model.

Id say you'll have to find one custom made, or modify a similar item to suit. If you do find someone that makes them, Id be very interested in getting one aswell.

IF we could get a group buy going for this itd be great!!!

What I wonder is the difference between a TA23 one and a TA22 one... I was of the understanding that there was pretty much bugger all differences between a ta23 suspension, engine and driveline wise.

To my knowledge the only real difference is the spacing between the 3 strut to body mounting bolts. Not sure about distance from strut tower to strut tower, that may also be different, but I'm not sure.

It's probably not that hard to get a custom one made-up or have one modified.

I need one and was going to get a custom one made. If theres enough numbers i should be able to get a group buy going in a few weeks if no one has anything sorted out by then. These would be custom and you guys could all decide on how you want them to look and stuff. Could get them polished, painted, powder coated, with turnbuckles or whatever. Would probably have to be a minimum of 10 or something.

95-99 Mitsu Eclipse Non Turbo Strut bar fits 70-75 Celicas.
Few guys on Classic-Celica have this Strut bar on there Celicas.

I've been looking @ the Carbon Fiber ones on Ebay like this one BUT looking for a brand name one like DC.
