looks very sc12, too short to be sc14 imho
Could anyone tell me for sure whether this is a SC14 or SC12?

Considering Toyota have never supercharged a 1.8ltr the description isnt very helpful.
If you know how to easily distinguish them could you please tell me that as well.
Also, are there "rebuild kits" or something for these s/c's? or replacements for parts that commonly wear out?

nope i have an sc14 sitting on the floor next to me. That there is a pulleyless SC14. Its off a 1GGZE.
Distingished in that picture by the piping, lack of dipstick, and casting...
100% that's an SC14. The inlet and outlet pipes are correct.
But the giveaway is that the upper mounts are aligned along one axis (you can slide one bolt through both mounting holes). This is not the case on an SC12.
Oh yeah, and that guy got ripped off. Plus if you don't get the pulley and clutch with it then it isn't worth too much.

They can wear out. But, I dont believe rebuild kits are available as the units are cheap and re-placeable. However you can oil change them using toyota SC oil or a cheaper holden or ford SC oil.
Thanks a lot guys, will make sure i get one with a clutch and pulley too.

i have a spare clutch pulley to suit an sc14... otherwise look for aircon compressors with the same amount of teeth for the ribs you need. My ra60 aircon 'v' belt pulley slid right on![]()
oops!.............

So a AirCon compressor clutch pulley works the same? and its activated/deactivated with an electric switch in the same way? So if i bought that ebay s/c i could use it with a/c pulley? ie, there isnt any other parts missing form the pully side?
Ive heard of using some ford a/c pulley, ill look that up/

AC clutch and SC should be basically identical. Maybe the SC will be able to hold more torque, but their function and mode of operation are identical as far as I can see.

thats what i thought... i tested my a/c one, engaged and disengaged fine![]()
yea, thats what i was thinking?
Does anyone know what happens when you put 8~psi in a efi plenum?

210rwkw - not bad for a smelly 3TGTE running pump fuel.
what i meant to say was, will the whole efi system handle it, and will the injectors squirt more fuel? Or will it need an aftermarket computer etc?
