He Riv I had to weld my carburettor backing plate today lots of little cracks forming in it around the carbie holes, suggest you check yours out just in case 200,000 km. But the perished air tube is what did it I think.

Hi,
That's probably because your car was bashed senseless all those years ago on rally's and what not.
Mine has been looked after like a princess, and she was fine a year ago when the carbs were pulled down and rebuilt/tuned.
However, I shall check it over in the next few days.
