    Yeah, I can weld OK.
No professional, but I put most of the back of my truck together,
and can do strong welds OK if I can get to them.

    What were you suggesting mate?

    Cool Re: 3VZE V6 Head Gasket/Overheating Issues

If you can weld, no good excuse for not making your own.
Have a junk car to roll while you work.
Personally. If I had a gen2 Camry (2vzfe) or a 3vz-e taco/runner. I'd have the thing with a smallish turbo sitting in the bay in about an hour. Why waste time with everything else if you can weld?
Seriously tho. When you're talking 145-150bhp engines that without much further modification than pluming a cheap/used turbo can make 200bhp+.
    No contest for me!

Man you can weld tho. It doens't have to be perfect. Even horrible welds on exhaust pipe can work. (and I've seen horrible...). Build you a manifold. Then copy it with descent looking welds & sell that to someone.

I know a guy online last year that builds high end honda manifolds & honda turbo installs in his spare time (But don't get fooled, it literally is like a full-time part time job). Cleared $30,000usd after renting a shop & buying some nice new tig & plasma cutters. Sheesh.

You can try this place as they are pretty good

I think it not too bad an outcome if they are prepared to service the heads for you as they can add up to many hundreds of dollars to just do the heads. If you are not mechanically minded get a service place to remove and refit the heads, all you will have to do is get them sent away and I think you may be able to push them for the feight and the price of the gasket set.

my 7M received the second revision of the head gasket, and added torque on the bolts.

9,000 k's later and its blown again.

i had the head reconditioned etc. etc. over $4k spent on redoing it properly, it was always run with enough water etc. etc.

go aftermarket if you can, metal if you can.

What am suggesting is that you makes your pipes. I had very limited experiance doing them and yet mine turned out ok. Basically start at the head and cut n weld peices of bend and straight to get the pipe to go where you want.Take your time and have a basic plan of what you want and you will end up with a decent pipe that will be heaps better than that crappy crossover pipe.
I did my full system from heads to tip for about $500 and including changing a clutch I spent 3 days working on it.
Anything can be Raced but not everything can win!!!
