Default Interesting Bush Info - Nolothane vs Polyeurethane

Hey guys. Thought id share some interesting info i found out today. Is regarding aftermarket bushes.

I was talking to someone in suspension with regards to which is better when talking about materials - nolothane or polyeurethane.

He discussed with me that they are both the same in the making process, ie mould is poured etc etc, however the polyeurethane is then cured in an oven. The nolothane is left to dry in open space.

He explained this difference will cause the nolothane to literally disintegrate into dust over time where wear happens. Like for example a trailing arm bush, or a swaybar bush where a metal sleeve runs through the bush...the nolothane wears away over time, whereas the ployeurethane keeps together...

Just thought id let yous know

Thats great, exept they both get wear so have to be changed anyway! that would be great if there was never any load put agaist the bush, but that dosnt happen with cars!

it's supposed to stiffen up the rear, to stop the cradle moving around so much when you're trying to drift

Like most drift things, its a total wank. Might help when your drifting with shit springs and shocks, but with decent shocks they do the work, not some piece of synthetic rubber!

i just googled it, and it's neither plastic nor rubber, it's in between.

    pretty versatile stuff actually.
