    Default Need 5M-GE head torque for engine rebuild.

    Hey,
    was wondering if anyone had the head torque specs for a 5mge.
    I have searched to no avail.

    id do the same as they do for a 7mge, which is 72 ft-lbs

    Thanks for your help. Out of interests sake whats the toyota rated torque value.

    the toyota spec torque for a 7mge was 55ft-lbs. which over time people have believed to be the reason that heads are letting go of their gaskets. Which realistically, 5me and 5mge's both had headgasket issues too.

    Calling any MA61 owners, does anyone have the 5mge head torque specs. Really want to get this right so id love the value for this particular engine.

    Robbo cheers for your help, but as you could probably imagine I really want to get this right.

    USA MA61 TRSM...a great resource, people should use it more!

    Clearly states 58ft-lb as STR8 2.8 said already
